Armageddon 2012

Entrance : P500 (in lieu of cash, for those who will register by the first week of December, we will accept kind donations worth approx P500 for our Christmas charity giveaways)

Snacks/biscuits (no junk food please)

for other food stuff please feel free to ask
We will NOT accept non-food items

COMPOSITION

1. standard army composition with theme forces allowed.

2. non-new players playing vs non-new players MAY NOT play below 50 pts. New players are defined as those who have not played in more than 3 official events

3. factions may not be changed throughout the event for one entry

4. a list (or ibodger) is required and must be shown before deployment

5. original cards must be used or an exact copy (black and white ok) but no other cards will be allowed (specially the home made ones)

6. proxies are NOT allowed and all models MUST be assembled. Paint is optional but recommended (as you can see below)

GAMES

There is a limit of 3 games per opponent for this league. However, certain prizes will only be eligible for those who play against all players equally. There are also corresponding bonuses outlined below in scoring

There will be a 6 round limit and I recommend the use of deathclocks to maximize number of games per day (60 min each for 35pts, 80 min each for 50pts and 90 min each for 75)

If the round limit has been reached, the tie breaker will be control points, if that is still tied the game is considered a draw but is scored as a loss

Mangsky will serve as the tournament organizer and official referee for the event

SCORING

1 Lose a 35 pt game
4 Win a 35 pt game
2 Lose a 50 pt game
5 Win a 50 pt game
3 Lose a 75 pt game
6 Win a 75 pt game

PER GAME BONUSES

+1 playing with fully painted army (at least 4 colors on the model)
+1 per game if you have not participated in more than 3 other official events
+1 winning a 75pt game without any characters (except caster/lock)

BOASTS
these must be declared after deployment and are only scored on a win
you CANNOT cancel the boast once the game has started

+1 will not use feat (pertaining to warlock/warcaster)
+1 will play with a -10% pt penalty (32 pts in 35, 45 in 50 and 68 in 75)
+2 will not directly attack opponent's caster (no direct attack roll)

SPECIAL GRUDGE BONUSES/PENALTIES

+1 for winning a game against past 2011 league winners (mangsky, kim)
+2 for winning vs an opponent who had beaten you twice already
-2 for winning vs an opponent you had beaten twice already

END OF LEAGUE BONUSES
(these are not mutually exclusive, i.e. they stack)

+5 for playing at least 11 different warcasters or warlocks
+10 for winning at least one game for each of the 11 different warcasters or warlocks
+5 for playing half your games with a theme tier 4 list
+10 for winning half your games with a theme tier 4 list
+15 for not losing any warcaster or warlock in any game
+5 for playing a mercenary or minion army

please note that conceding/forfeiting a match allows your opponent to choose the victory condition

SCENARIOS and TABLES

tables at pitshop are already pre-set (3 tables)

we will be having only ONE scenario for the entire duration of the league - REVELATION 2011

HOWEVER, there will be varying game conditions for every game played

At the beginning of each game PRIOR to deployment. Roll a D6

1 - TRANQUILITY : no special battlefield effects
2 - DARK SKIES : for the first 2 rounds, LOS is reduced to 5"
3 - ROLLING DEATH : all models gain concealment for the entire game (eyeless and true sight does not ignore this concealment)
4 - THUNDERSTORM : no spells (or magic ability) may be cast on the 3rd and 4th rounds
5 - BROKEN GROUND : for the last 2 rounds all models SPD stat is reduced to HALF (SPD/2)
6 - GLIMMER : all models gain FEARLESS for the entire game

PRIZES

The following players will receive a medal

JUGGERNAUT - the player who scores the most points at the end of the league*

DESTROYER - the player that has the best win-loss percentage*

BERSERKER - the player that played the most number of games

BEAST - the player that scored the most BOAST points*

DEMOLISHER - the player that scores the most bonus points at the end of the league***

*additional requirement that this player must have played the top 5 players at least 2x each
*** additional requirement that his player must be in the bottom half of the standings

The top 5 players who did NOT get a medal will also receive a faction coin

All players that played against all participants at least 2x will get a grab from our renewed loot bag
